Corporate Venus gets GMP certificate from Kenya MUMBAI: Pharmaceutical firm Venus Remedies on Monday said it has received Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate from Kenya's health ministry for exporting products to that country. The company's manufacturing facilities received GMP certificate from the Pharmacy & Poisons Board of Kenya's Health Ministry, Venus said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Earlier this year, Kenya had conducted a detailed inspection of the manufacturing facilities at the company's Baddi campus in Himachal Pradesh and found them to be compliant of all quality standard requirements as per Pharmaceuticals Pricing Board (PPB) and WHO-GMP norms, the company said. Venus said, with this certificate the Kenyan market would open for the company, making healthy contribution to its export sales from the area. The company has filed 28 product dossiers for its range of oncology formulations for registration in the count ry out of which, eight products have already been registered. Venus had tied up with one of the leading distributors of the country and the first order of the territory has been successfully executed in the second quarter. The shares of Venus were trading at Rs 400, up 3.09 per cent in afternoon trade on the BSE. - PTI
