MATTEL has launched Instant Messaging Barbie which comes with a mobile phone with instant messaging (SMS) feature. It reportedly enables girls not only to message Barbie but also to message their friends who have a similar doll. The toy also comes with an extra face cover for the phone and a messenger bag. Targeted at girls between five and 12 years, it is priced at Rs 1,199 and will be available at all leading departmental and toy stores in the country.
