A steady trend in poultry feed products kept feed prices unchanged on steady input cost, said Subhash Sharma, Financial Head, Sarvottam Poultry Feed Supply Center Pvt Ltd.

Low availability coupled with sluggish demand kept soyameal prices unchanged. Arrivals are likely to resume by the week end , he said.

Soyameal prices quoted at Rs 4,200-4,250 a quintal on Wednesday.

Bajra sold at Rs 1,280, maize Rs 1,510; DCP Rs 42/kg, fish oil Rs 96/litre.

Broiler concentrates feed quoted at Rs 2,050 for a 50-kg bag; starter mash Rs 1,520; pre-starter concentrate 30 per cent Rs 1,740 for a 30-kg bag; layer concentrate Rs 1,570/50-kg bag. Pre-lay mash was at Rs 1,080, broiler finisher Rs 1,510/50-kg bag.

Meanwhile, egg recovered marginally, on Wednesday and went up by one paise to Rs 3.43.

Broiler remained unchanged at Rs 70-72/kg; chick up by Rs 3 for Rs 15.

Egg and broiler prices are likely to increase in upcoming days, said market experts.
