An Indian brand, Base Batteries from Base Corporation, will sponsor the Canadian cricket team. During the ongoing World Cup, players, coach and support staff of the team will sport Base Batteries' logo on their jerseys.
This marks the beginning of the brand's association with sports, said Mr Girish Arora, MD, Base Batteries. He said the company had long-term plans to nurture budding cricketing talent in India.
