VE Commercial Vehicles today reported 27.72 per cent increase in total sales in September at 4,248 units as against 3,326 units in the same month last year.
The company, which is a joint venture between Sweden’s Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, said Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 4,047 units in September as compared with 3,176 units in the same month last year, up 27.42 per cent.
In the domestic market, Eicher trucks and buses recorded sales of 3,452 units in September as against 2,781 units in the year—ago period, a growth of 24.13 per cent.
Exports of Eicher trucks and buses stood at 595 units in September as against 395 units last year, up 50.63 per cent.
Volvo trucks recorded sales of 201 units in the month as compared to 150 units in the year—ago month, a rise of 34 per cent.
