Personal computer maker Acer India on Thursday entered the smartphone market with the launch of the Liquid Z Series — Z630s and Z530 — priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 6,999 respectively.
Both the handsets will be available exclusively on Flipkart. While the Z630s will be available from November 12, the Z530 will be available from tonight.
Some of the features of the Z630s include 64-bit, octa-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor with 5.5-inch screen, and runs on Android 5.1. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory as standard, the company said.
It has an 8MP wide view angle front camera as well as an 8MP auto-focus rear camera.
The Z530 is powered by a 64-bit, quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor and has a 5-inch screen.
It runs on Android 5.1 and has 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory.
"While the Liquid Z630s appeals to the elegant, beauty conscious and social user, the Liquid Z530 is more suited to the youth who demands to remain connected round the clock," ST Liew, President -- Smart Products Business Group, Acer, said here at the launch.
The company will manufacture both the smartphones at its new facility in Puducherry. The plant will be operational by next month, with a production capacity of one-lakh units per month.
