Along with many of the big daddies of the capital market that figure among the CNX Nifty on Friday touched their 52-week lows in the NSE, the shares belonging to the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) took a pounding in tandem with them.

The other stocks that took a significant knock as a group belonged to Mr Anil Agarwal, whose Sterlite Industries and Sesa Goa, apart from Cairn India which he is trying to acquire, all suffered major value erosion.

Reliance Capital lost Rs 23.15 to close the day at Rs 493.55 (-4.48 per cent), Reliance Power shed Rs 5.65 to close at Rs 103.25 (-5.19 per cent), Reliance Communications lost Rs 6.60 to close at Rs 92.50 (-6.66 per cent) and Reliance Infra came under heavy pounding to lose 7.35 per cent to close at Rs 524.10, a loss of a huge Rs 41.60/ share.

These ADAG shares were among the heaviest losers on a 365-day basis among the Nifty stocks in percentage terms.

While Reliance Capital has lost 37.69 per cent of its share value during this period, the loss of Reliance Power is 35.63 per cent, RCom has lost 47.64 per cent of its share value and Reliance Infra's loss has topped 50 per cent mark at 54.03 per cent.

While Sesa Goa shed Rs 15.05 or 5.75 per cent to close at Rs 246.90 on the NSE, Sterlite lost Rs 8.75 or 5.79 per cent to end the day at Rs 142.25 and Cairn India lost Rs 22.10 or 7.18 per cent to close at Rs 285.80, to join Reliance Infra as two of the heaviest losers in percentage terms among the Nifty scrips in the NSE.
