In a move which would benefit nearly 5.5 lakh households and owners of over 8,00,000 CNG run vehicles, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) on Wednesday a cut in selling prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in NCT of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
The consumer price of CNG would be down by Rs 0.60 a kg in Delhi, and by Rs 0.70 a kg in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. With this, the new consumer price of Rs 37.55 a kg in Delhi and Rs 42.80 a kg in Noida, Greater Noida & Ghaziabad would be effective from midnight of April 1/2.
The consumer price of PNG to the households in Delhi has been reduced by Rs 0.60 per scm from Rs 25.50 per scm to Rs 24.90 per scm up to consumption of 36 scm in two months with effect from Wednesday. Beyond consumption of 36 scm in two months, the applicable rate remains unchanged.
IGL is a joint venture of GAIL (India) Ltd., BPCL and Government of NCT of Delhi
