Spare the middle-class

With falling interest rates and few avenues for savings, the Government appears to be doing little. In fact, it is taxing the middle-class that consists predominantly the salaried class, retired persons and pensioners.

When crucial decisions are taken by the Government in matters of tax, the interests of the middle-class are often ignored. The recent one such decision is the treatment of perquisites in respect of salaried class, particularly, non-government employees.
