Arvind, Pantaloon announce tie-up

New Delhi , Feb 12

ARVIND Brands and Pantaloon Retail Ltd on Thursday announced a tie-up under which Arvind's jeanswear brand, Ruf `n Tuf, would be available at Pantaloon's Big Bazaar outlets across the country.

Announcing the tie-up at the Images Fashion Forum 2004, Mr Darshan Mehta, President, Arvind Brands, said the arrangement would allow Big Bazaar to wholesale the brand to smaller retailers. "Initially, we will be supplying one lakh pieces per month," he said.

In another development, Ms Kathleen Nelson, Chairperson of the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC), announced the opening of a number of ICSC zonal offices across the globe, including one in India.

"The mission of ICSC in India will be to assist shopping centre developers, retailers and investors to make their businesses more profitable and as per world standards," she said.

Ms Nelson also released the book Retail Real Estate Malls in India, brought out by Images magazine.
