Water level declines at major reservoirs in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water level at the three major water reservoirs of the State, Idukki, Kallada and Idamalayar, has declined compared with the levels recorded last week.

According to the figures released by the Central Water Commission, the level declined to 2325.16 ft from 2327.22 ft at Idukki, 344.59 ft from347.87 ft at Kallada and 465.55 ft from 469.62 ft at Idamalayar. However, the year-on-year readings reveal that the level at Idukki is higher by 8.82 ft, Kallada by 4.60 ft and Idamalayar by 21.62 ft.
