Financial scheme for SSIs in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Director, Industries, has announced that small-scale industries could now avail of assistance being made available as capital subsidy and margin money loan for toning up their marketing and general infrastructure.

As per the scheme, the Directorate would advance 15 per cent of the expenditure incurred for setting up showrooms for vending finished goods, or up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh, as subsidy and 15 per cent, or up to a maximum of Rs 5 lakh, as margin money loan.

Among those eligible for assistance under the scheme include small-scale goods marketing institutions, co-operative institutions, women industrial enterprises, voluntary organisations and individuals. More details can be had from the respective District Industries Centres.
