BHPV revival package soon

Our Bureau

VISAKHAPATNAM: The revival package for the ailing Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels (BHPV) is presently under the consideration of the Union Ministry of Heavy Industry and it may take three to four months for it to get the approval of the Union Cabinet, according to Mr S.C. Guptha, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bharat Yantra Nigam Ltd (BYNL), the holding company.

According to a press note issued by the recognised union, the union leaders had met Mr Guptha here on Thursday morning and enquired about the package. In response to the query, Mr. Guptha told the union leaders that the package would have to be submitted to the sub-committee by the Heavy Industries Ministry, approved by the Union Finance Minsiter and then finalised by the Union Cabinet.

"It may take three to four months. We all have to work together to get it approved and for the turnaround of the unit," he told the union leaders.
