Two/Three Wheelers Marketing - Trends Corporate - Performance Bajaj sells 1 lakh CT 100 bikes Our Bureau
VISAKHAPATNAM, Aug. 8 Bajaj Auto has set up a record by selling one lakh CT 100 bikes in 81 days since its launch in May in the country, according to Mr B.K Senapathi, regional sales manager. At a press meet here on Sunday evening, he said it was an instant hit in the market and the mileage of 75 km was the most attractive feature. Andhra Pradesh was one among the major markets for the bike and 15,000 vehicles had been sold so far, he said. The bike currently accounted for 60 per cent of the total motorcycle sales in the country, he said. "There is a waiting list of 5,000 and we are increasing the production to meet the demand," he said. Mr V. Prabhu Kishore, Managing Director of Varun Motors, also spoke.
