Petroleum Corporate - Alliances & Joint Ventures Govt okays HPCL's tie-up with French co for tech upgradation Our Bureau
New Delhi , Sept. 3 THE Government has approved Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd's (HPCL) technological collaboration with AXENS of France for upgradation of a few units of the company to meet the Bharat-II/Euro III emission norms. A total of seven foreign collaborations have been approved by the Minister for Commerce and Industry, Mr Kamal Nath. Kochi Refineries Ltd's (KCL) plan to set up Gasoline MEROX treatment facilities in collaboration with US-based UOP LLC has also been approved. A collaboration agreement between the hotel division of ITC Ltd and the US-based Sheraton International Inc for international marketing, publicity and reservation services has also been okayed by the Government. The proposals approved by the Minister also include Hero Honda Ltd's pact with its Japanese parent company Honda Motors for two new models in the Indian market.
