New Products & Services Variety - Lifestyle Discovery launches lifestyle channel Our Bureau
Mumbai , Oct. 28 DISCOVERY Networks India today unveiled its new 24 hour-international lifestyle channel called Discovery Travel & Living. The channel's advent also marks the global debut of Discovery Lifestyle Networks. Mr Aditya P. Tripathi, Director (Marketing), Discovery Networks India, said at a press briefing that the decision to kick off the new channel's operations in India followed the visit of a Discovery team to the country some time ago. They were sufficiently impressed with what they saw to feel that the time was ripe for India to host the global debut of Discovery Lifestyle Networks, a global business initiative Discovery had announced earlier this year. In India, the new channel is expected to reach a subscriber base of 15 million households by the end of the year. "The new channel will offer an unparalleled selection of high quality, entertaining programming on travel, cuisine, fitness and fashion," Mr Pankaj Saxena, Vice-President (Programming), Discovery Networks India, said.
