At The TiE event at Bangalore IT.COM 2004 here today, the consensus was that Indian companies must focus on serving the domestic market as India and China have emerged as the places most Western companies are also looking to sell their products in. The window of opportunity in India is open and the coming decade will see some of the hottest entrepreneurial activity in the world happening out of India, said Red Herring CEO, Mr Alex Serge Vieux.

Macro trends in India— its GDP, its population, its demographics are the opportunities in the Indian market and drivers for the growth of the technology sector, said Mr Pradeep Gupta, MD, Cyber Media.
