Acer setting up mall at Varanasi

ACER India on Wednesday announced the opening of its retail store, the Acer Mall in Varanasi.

The 200 sq. ft. mall is being set up in alliance with Acer's retail partner Swastik Computer Pvt. Ltd. Acer's first exclusive brand showroom in the region the partner will carry the entire range of product offerings spanning the Aspire series of consumer PCs, TravelMate notebook series, Volume Products Division Desktops, Projectors and TFT monitors.

Acer India opened its first Acer Mall in Bangalore in December 2003 and plans to have Acer Malls and Acer Points across the country and is on a major expansion drive. The present phase of retail ramp up is also seeing a major push by the company into B&C class cities which today are seeing a big boom in computer sales.

Acer's retail stores fall into two categories. The first is a full shop or `Acer Mall' which will showcase Acer products and non-competing products. Acer Point, the other category will have one full wall of the multibrand store displaying only Acer products.
