IT-enabled Services Dell to set up third call centre Our Bureau
Bangalore Nov. 10 COMPUTER maker Dell said on Wednesday it is setting up third customer contact centre in Chandigarh to support its growing global customer base. Dell's Chandigarh centre is expected to begin its operations from March 2005 with some 300 employees and the company plans to start hiring soon. "Dell opened its first Indian customer centre in Bangalore in 2001. Since then, we have added a Product Group and Global Software Development Centre to that operation," said Mr Romi Malhotra, Managing Director, Dell India. "The accomplishments we made encouraged us to open an additional customer contact centre in Hyderabad in 2003. The successes of these two centres gave us confidence to expand our operations with a new facility in Chandigarh," Mr Malhotra said in a press release. Dell said it is committed to providing world-class customer service. and experience. "Our focus in India will continue to be preparing our team members through high-end training programmes, and retaining them by providing career path opportunities, good benefits and a great place to work," added Mr Malhotra.
