New Products & Services Industry & Economy - Tourism Destination Dubai 2005 edition released Our Bureau
Mumbai , Dec. 8 THE Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) on Wednesday announced the release of the 2005 edition of its flagship tourism manual `Destination Dubai'. The annual publication, now in its 14th year, offers tour operators "all the information they need to put together for a Dubai package from every corner of the world," according to Mr Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, DTCM Director, Operations and Marketing. "The manual will further support out aggressive initiatives to increase worldwide awareness about the emirate's world-class attractions and unique facilities," said a news release from the DTCM. The DTCM considers the publication a crucial component of the promotional literature utilised by the department for its aggressive agenda of marketing Dubai as an ideal year-round business and leisure destination. Focus in the current edition has been on local cuisines, facilities for physically challenged visitors, and the social relevance of the Holy Month of Ramadan, said the news release. The publication also contains a directory of hotels, apartments, tourism-related companies and establishments, and a map of Dubai containing new and upcoming projects and developments in the Emirate. Calling the publication a promotional and marketing tool, Mr Mohamed said it matches the expectations of travel agencies and tour operators in attracting more visitors to the destination each year.
