Stansfield School of Business to offer B.Sc degree courses

STANSFIELD School of Business, a division of the Stansfield Group of Singapore affiliated to the University of London (UoL), will now offer the UoL degrees in Chennai.

According to Mr Kannappan Chettiar, Chairman, The Stansfield Group, it has invested over Rs 25 crore here to create facilities of international class to coach over 600 students a year.

The business school will offer B.Sc. degrees in a range of subjects such as mathematics and economics, business, management, computing and information systems, economics, banking and finance and law.

All the courses are modelled along the lines of that offered by the London University, and the examinations are set and marked by the faculty of that University.

The Stansfield School of Business has been audited and approved by the external programme director of the London School of Economics, which has given its permission to conduct the course in Chennai, he said.

Stansfield will open three more such campuses in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata next year, Mr Kannappan said. Next year, it will have a full-fledged campus in China. Students at the Chennai facility will have a chance to study in Singapore during a part of the course, he said.
