IIM-K annual marketing meet from Saturday

KOCHI: IIM-Kozhikode is organising the annual marketing seminar, Synapse 2005, on Saturday and Sunday. The event is being supported by CII and ITC is the Platinum Sponsor, an institute release said.

The marketing interest group at IIMK, MPower, is organising the event. The seminar will present a platform for top marketing gurus in the country to share their experiences with industry peers and current MBA students who aspire to become socially aware and technically skilled managers and entrepreneurs.

The theme of the seminar is `The Brand New World: Local Competencies, Global Challenges', which is reflective of the evolving realities of marketing in today's richly diverse and interconnected world. The speakers hail from various corporate sectors and academia.

Synapse will see experience sharing sessions by the creative force behind such acclaimed ads as those of Liril, Caliber, VIP and St Gobain, Mr Hemant Mallik and Mr Ravi Prasad, the marketing heads of ITC and Murugappa, as well as Mr Harish Bijoor, CEO of Harish Bijoor Consults.
