J.B. Chem drug gets US nod

MUMBAI: J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (JBCPL) has received regulatory approval to sell the generic version of anti-fungal drug Fluconazole in the US.

The company said that it received the US Food and Drug Administration approval to manufacture and market Fluconazole tablets in the US market. The total market size of Fluconazole tablets in the US is about $610 million.

JBCPL is the third Indian company to receive the approval for this product. The company already has US FDA approval to manufacture and market ciprofloxacin tablets in the US market, a company statement said.
