Nvidia graphic processors

Our Bureau

BANGALORE: Graphic card maker Nvidia Corporation has announced two new graphic processors - nForce4 SLI XE and nForce4 Ultra.

SLI X16 is meant for the high-end enthusiast, the XE for those interested in performance and Ultra is targeted at more general PC usage and single GPU configurations. GPU or graphics processor unit is similar and supplementary to a CPU. It is solely meant to deal with processing of graphics during gaming or high-resolution videos, which could otherwise slow down the speed of CPU as they require much higher processing power.

These GPUs are compatible with Intel dual-core CPUs, including the Pentium Extreme Edition 955. With SLI (Scalable Link Interface) users can install two video cards, hence improve their game performance.
