Bangalore , Jan. 29

THE US-based Magma Design Automation Inc, a provider of semiconductor design software, has announced that five new intellectual property vendors have joined its MagmaTies programme to develop "Magma-Ready'' IP.

Aragio Solutions, Arteris, Go2silicon, SiWave and Soft Mixed Signal have teamed up with Magma to provide solutions that would enable mutual customers to speed up through the semiconductor design and manufacturing processes.

"Magma and its partners are creating a broad portfolio of IP products to enable our customers to tackle next-generation System-on-Chips designs fast,'' said Mr Michael Ma, Vice-President of Foundry and IP Relationships for Magma, in a press release.

The programme has 15 IP providers. Through it, Magma and MagmaTies members will work together to qualify tool interfaces, libraries and foundry processes for use with Magma's software. Magma is based in Bangalore.
