Symantec's Archiving Partner

Our Bureau

Bangalore, March 6

Symantec Corp launched an Intelligent Archiving Partner programme developed to provide organisations with more specific information about the content and context of the records in their ever-growing data stores. The program will help organisations with archiving, storage, retention and discovery of business records, while simultaneously reducing storage costs, eliminating unnecessary litigation risks and minimizing the time and cost involved in discovery and search. "Our research estimates that the capacity of e-mail archives will grow to an estimated 3,500 Petabytes in 2010," said Mr Brian Babineau, Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. The program will help organisations understand compliance and storage.
