Growth strategy To shift focus from Govt to private sector in the UK market Company considering other locations, including Kolkata, Chennai and Indore for new facility
Pune , April 13 Software and BPO services provider Zensar Technologies has entered into a strategic partnership with Fujitsu Services to build and operate a dedicated facility for the latter. The facility will offer a range of services spanning applications development, maintenance and support services, remote infrastructure management services, product engineering services and business process outsourcing services. The Global Delivery Centre is targeted to grow to over 1,000 people in the next three years and gross revenues of $30 million for Zensar, Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, said.
To tap markets jointly
The strategic alliance will see the UK-based Fujitsu Services team up with Zensar to tap global markets across Europe, West Asia and Africa, Mr Daniel Jones, Program Director, Global Sourcing, Fujitsu Services said. "Our operations in the UK are currently focused largely on the Government sector but we want to now grow business by offering services to the private sector which is a growing market despite concerns about the outsourcing of work in various markets," Mr Jones said. The company has already got expressions of interest from various companies for its infrastructure management services and work will later come in the BPO and applications outsourcing segment too, Mr Gurdeep Grewal, Country Manager, UK, said. Fujitsu Services, part of the Fujitsu group, is one of the principal shareholders in Zensar and the partnership currently manages dedicated offshore projects out of Zensar's Pune facility for global customers in the US and UK. Zensar is, meanwhile, considering several other locations, including Kolkata, Chennai, Indore and a possible SEZ location to expand its operations. A 1,250-seater new facility to be commissioned in the near future , Mr Natarajan said.
