Internet Marketing - New Products & Services Rediff iLand to offer Moblogs Our Bureau
Bangalore , May 14 Rediff.com India Ltd launched Rediff iLand, the first blogging service in India to introduce Moblogs. Now users can upload a picture or text directly from a mobile or any handheld device into their blogs. This service will allow users to blog from anywhere. Rediff iLand also allows users to customise their blogs in several ways. Besides allowing users to provide personal details such as interests, real name, gender, sun sign and location, it allows them to choose their own avatar or select a theme-based look.
Easy browsing
The blog entries made by users can be browsed easily using a calendar interface. Besides their own content, users can also view the latest blog entries made by their friends, thus making it a unique experience since they do not have to visit multiple blogs to check new blog entries. Speaking at the launch of iLand, Mr Ajit Balakrishan, Chairman & CEO, Rediff.com said "Rediff.com is committed to providing innovative offerings to its users. Rediff was one of the first Web sites to introduce blogs in India and we have continued to improve on our services. Rediff iLand has been developed in keeping with the increasing popularity of Rediff Blogs." Rediff iLand also offers bloggers privacy control, access to RSS feeds and Avatars an online personality. Users can choose an avatar from a range made available to them. iLanders can also use the Permalink feature to forward a post to their friends from anywhere (over the Web or mobile) as in the ad.
