Essar bags GAIL gas pipeline project

Essar Constructions Ltd along with Daqing Petroleum Engineering International, China, has won the contract for laying a 30-inch high pressure gas pipeline from GAIL (India) Ltd. The Rs 129-crore pipeline will cover the distance of 147 km between Jalapur and Boirpada and would be completed in 11 months, an official statement said on Thursday. The pipeline is part of the 450-km long pipeline GAIL is constructing between Dahej in Gujarat and Uran in Maharashtra. The Dahej-Uran pipeline is a cross-country natural gas pipeline to carry re-gassified LNG. It will supply gas to GAIL customers.
