TCS to be global partner for SAP

Our Bureau

Mumbai, May 31

Tata Consultancy Services has become global business software major SAP AG's first global partner for services, the first Asian consultancy to attain this standard, said a news release from TCS. While SAP has several implementation partners among Indian software companies, its global partners are mostly global consultancies such as Accenture, apart from other multinationals, said a spokesperson. A global partnership would mean that both SAP and TCS can go to market together; TCS will also develop customised solutions on the SAP platform. Although SAP has its own development centre in Bangalore, TCS will be able to do certain kinds of unique customisation with the help of the domain knowledge it enjoys.
