Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 16

Wipro Technologies said it has become an associate member of Autosar, the automotive open system architecture partnership.

The Autosar was formed in the year 2003 by the OEM and tier1 automotive companies- BMW Group, Bosch, Continental, DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Siemens VDO, Toyota Motor Corporation, Volkswagen and later on General Motors, who form the core members of the partnership.

The Autosar standard serves as a platform upon which future vehicle applications will be implemented and will also serve to minimise the current barriers between functional domains.
