People States - Other States JSW Jharkhand project head Our Bureau
JSW Steel Ltd has announced the appointment of Mr Rajendra Prasad Singh as its Chief Executive Officer, to spearhead the company's 10-million-tonne Jharkhand steel project. "Mr Singh will be actively involved in the conceptualisation and management of JSW's project at Jharkhand. We are very happy to have Mr Singh as part of our team, in such an important venture and I look forward to his contribution in making JSW Steel one of the leading integrated steel producers in the country," said Mr Sajjan Jindal, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of the company , in a press release. JSW Steel had signed an agreement with the Jharkhand Government for setting up a 10-mt capacity greenfield plant in the Hesalong area at a cost of Rs 35,000 crore. The plant is expected to commence operations by 2010.
