NO SITTING DUCK THIS: A scene at an organic paddy cultivation field near Thrissur. Organic farming is gaining momentum in Kerala where some farmers have taken to paddy cultivation along with duck farming which they believe would be an economically viable proposition. Rampant supply of spurious seeds and pesticides seems to have prompted farmers to opt for organic farming.
