SIFL in pact with ISRO

Thiruvananthapuram, March 15

The State-owned Steel and Industrial Forgings Ltd (SIFL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the manufacture and supply of components for various aerospace projects.

The products will be supplied to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), under ISRO, within 16 months from the date of signing the MoU. ISRO will give Rs 2.75 crore to SIFL in the first phase. The memorandum was signed between Dr P.P. Sinha, Deputy Director of VSSC and Mr K. Shamsuddin, Managing Director of SIFL, in the presence of the Industries Minister, Mr Elamaram Kareem.
