Tool to combat Web threats

Coimbatore, March 27

In a bid to provide total Web threat protection, Trend Micro has added a key innovation to its multi-layered, multiple threat defence approach - the new in-the-cloud Web Reputation Technology to thwart threats in the cloud, at the gateway and on the end point. The company, in a release, stated that total threat protection would be the key component within its secure content and threat management security solutions portfolio, particularly because the Web was turning to be a primary threat infection vector in modern day attacks.

The evolving and highly potent threats are said to enter a company's network in real-time posing danger to company data, productivity, corporate reputation, and revenue. Therefore, to effectively combat Web threats, new Web site-reputation-based solutions working in tandem with URL filtering would be needed, the release said.
