Microsoft's Imagine Cup finalists

The three finalists of Microsoft's Imagine Cup 2007, the competition for student innovators, were Aabha from IIIT, Allahabad; Blue leaf from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of technology (DAIICT), Ahmedabad; and Gras, from Goa Institute of technology. The winning team will walk away with the first prize of Rs 1 lakh and go on to compete with the best teams from across the world at the worldwide finals of Imagine Cup in August 2007 at Seoul, Korea, for the total prize money of $1,70,000 (approximately Rs 76,50,000 lakh). The theme for Imagine Cup 2007 was `Imagine a world where technology enables a better education for all', through which Microsoft hopes to encourage young students to work together for a social cause. More than 1 lakh students, from nearly every country in the world, entered this year's competition, said the release issued by the company.
