RP Info opens unit in Himachal

New Delhi, July 14

Kolkata-based RP Infosystems announced it has set up a third manufacturing plant in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh. The plant is ready to roll out a range of personal computers and laptops for the semi-urban market, its Chairman Mr Kaustuv Ray, said. Its plants at Howrah, West Bengal and Shillong, Meghalaya manufacture keyboards, mouse and monitors, and there are plans to soon produce motherboards and RAMs.

The company’s Chirag range of products is priced between Rs 14,500 and Rs 28,500 to meet the requirements of the price sensitive semi-urban and rural markets. —
