ZTE’s CDMA base station exports

New Delhi, Aug. 21

Chinese telecom equipment vendor ZTE Corporation on Tuesday said that India accounted for nearly 35 per cent of its CDMA base station exports since 2001. “Since 2001, ZTE had already shipped over 55,000 sets of CDMA base stations,” said Mr Zhu Jinyun, general manager of ZTE’s CDMA product. “India alone accounts for over 20,000 sets of the shipment, allowing ZTE to capture the largest market share for CDMA base stations in the country. ZTE has also l aunched CDMA base stations with new frequency bands.” The company has accumulated a total network subscriber capacity of 43 million lines in India even as its total capacity has crossed the 100 million mark. —
