Courier firms provide rakhi delivery services

Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, courier firms such as XPS and Blue Dart have launched special rakhi delivery offers.

XPS, which delivered about 22,000 rakhis last year through its Anmol Rakhi scheme, hopes to deliver over 30,000 rakhis this year.

“Based on our bookings till date this year, we hope to deliver over 30,000 rakhis this year,” Mr K. Prabhakar, President and Chief Executive Officer, XPS, told Business Line adding that usually 60 per cent of the firms’ deliveries are international in nature. Blue Dart, meanwhile, has launched a service called Rakhi Express and charges consumers Rs 140 or Rs 185 depending on the value adds that customers want along with the rakhi delivery.
