Monster beefs up security on Web site

Hyderabad, Aug. 31

Following a recent incident of phishing , job portal Monster Worldwide has announced that it is notifying all job seekers with an active resume on its site about preventive measures against online fraud. The company in a statement said that it will enhance existing security and minimise such threats in the future.

Recently, Monster tracked an illegal activity that involved downloading of information such as names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of 1.3 million job seekers from resumes posted on Monster.com. The company has instituted a Web site security task force to monitor and protect users of site. -Our Bureau
