Microsoft opens office in Kochi

Kochi, Sept. 7 In a major fillip to IT industry in the State, Microsoft has announced the opening of its office in Kochi as part of its initiative to partner Kerala’s growth into a knowledge-based inclusive society.

With Kochi as a hub, the company plans to service the other cities of Kozhikode, Kottayam, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram, Ms Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, Microsoft India, said in a statement.

Nasscom has recognised Kochi as one of the key cities for IT-based services.

The region is an emerging IT hub, and is also a strong market for the Small and Medium Business segment, a key focus segment for Microsoft.

The company’s direct presence in Kerala will enable the SMBs in the region to access its complete portfolio of products and services.
