HP launches ‘ColorLok’ paper

Bangalore, Oct. 17

Hewlett-Packard has gone a full circle in print – by improving paper. Two years after its launch in the US, the company and paper mills and packaging plants owner International Paper, launched ColorLok in India on Wednesday. An uncoated sheet of paper, when treated with a clear chemical solution (called ColorLok Technology) dries ink 9 times faster, with 30 per cent increase in brightness and 60 per cent bolder blacks, according to the company. It locks ink onto the paper, making sharper lines and inducing less smear.
