Our Bureau

New Delhi, Dec. 5 Dell and Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd on Wednesday announced a large account reseller agreement (LAR) to provide integrated technology solutions to Indian enterprises.

Under the agreement, the two companies will offer core infrastructure and business productivity solutions with a focus on the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI), Government; IT enabled Services (ITeS) and Manufacturing verticals.

Globally, Dell is a Microsoft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Windows Desktop Operating System, Office, Windows Server and SQL Server and a hardware provider for Microsoft Unified Communications Solutions.

“An increasing number of enterprises request a total solution from their vendor when they build their IT infrastructures — from hardware and software to professional services,” said Mr Rajan Anandan, Vice-President and General Manager of Dell India. “The standards-based industry-leading software products and solutions offered by Microsoft have been widely recognised in the global marketplace. Microsoft products and solutions are core components of what Dell’s customers purchase through us. Today’s announcement will deepen the cooperation and strengthen complementary advantages of Dell and Microsoft in the large and medium-sized enterprise,” added Mr Anandan.“Infrastructure and business productivity issues continue to challenge enterprise customers who are looking to reduce complexity in their IT infrastructures. This agreement is a major step ahead in our efforts to provide Indian enterprises with scalable, manageable and secure technology solutions,” said Ms Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, Microsoft India.
