HP’s data protection tool

HP StorageWorks has announced the availability of HP Data Protector for notebooks and desktops in India. This solution is specifically designed to help organisations tackle the increasing amounts of data stored in notebooks and desktops. The HP Data Protector claims to provide “simple and reliable data protection, fault tolerance and increased performance.” It continuously and automatically protects users’ files on networked Windows notebook and desktop c omputers. Data files, such as Microsoft Office documents, are backed up as soon as they are saved, said a press release. The release added that the HP Data Protector enables economical protection to the increasing amounts of data stored at the ‘edge’ of the organisation on users’ notebooks and desktops efficiently. — Our Bureau
