Alliances & Joint Ventures Infotech, Tele Atlas in deal Our Bureau Hyderabad, March 17 Infotech Enterprises Ltd on Monday announced it has signed a new multi-year contract with digital map leader Tele Atlas to provide map database and software development services. The agreement builds on a long-term relationship that the two companies have had since 1994 and now reflects a much wider range of services business. The Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech Enterprises, Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, in a statement said “in early 2005, Infotech acquired Tele Atlas’s Indian operations situated in Noida near Delhi. Tele Atlas also entered into a services agreement with Infotech.” The new engagement strengthens this relationship with Infotech providing data and in digital road map making services. With this, Tele Atlas consolidates its map database production capability globally by building additional competencies in mapping technology and data processes. The Vice-President Product Operations, Tele Atlas, Mr Alex Gerets, said “Tele Atlas will further explore process innovation and high quality data output.” Infotech database teams will assist Tele Atlas’s digital map base gathered from various parts.
