Our Bureau

New Delhi, March 20 EON PreMedia has tied up with New England Typographic Service (NETS), USA to launch NETS EON India Pvt Ltd, a joint venture company that will provide offshore services for the educational publishing market worldwide.

The venture will offer content development and design across formats for elementary through high school education, or el-hi publishers. The business is expected to be primarily focussed on North America and the UK markets, offering end to end publishing solutions ranging from content and editorial development through production services and repurposing of data and content into multiple formats and languages.

NETS EON India will operate out of a 20,000-sq-ft facility in Noida employing 50 people to begin with. It plans to double headcount in six months.

“Our international customers are looking at working with fewer larger partners with end to end solution capability across multiple geographies and I am confident that synergies between both the companies will help us deliver on this objective and make this joint venture a great success,” said Mr Michael Kern, President and CEO, NETS and the joint venture’s first Chairman. The position of Chairmanship is to be rotated annually with Mr Suveen Sahib, CEO, EON, taking it up next.
