New Business Bartronics bags Rajasthan project Hyderabad, May 19 Bartronics India Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the company has emerged as the lowest bidder for a smart card project in the Bhamashah Financial Empowerment Scheme of the Government of Rajasthan, bids for which were opened on May 16. Under the scheme, the Rajasthan Government intends covering about 50 lakh families through biometrically identifiable smart cards, providing them with financial relief through a financial inclusion process. The project, valued at about Rs 150 crore, is one in a series of financial inclusion initiatives announced by the Finance Minister during the budget speech.
