Hyderabad, May 21 Satyam Computers and GE Healthcare have joined hands to support customers in deploying healthcare IT solutions based on the latter’s software. The beneficiaries would range from small polyclinics to the large hospitals. The two companies will plan, design and implement infrastructure for global healthcare providers of all sizes. According to a joint press release from Hong Kong, the solutions would be based on GE Healthcare’s Centricity Enterprise software. From the fourth quarter of 2008, Satyam will be the first global systems integrator to start enrolling consultants in the new GE Healthcare certification exam programs for Centricity Enterprise software. It will also staff a demonstration centre of the “Hospital of the future” to be opened in Qatar to highlight the capabilities of the two companies. “The agreement and investment by both companies will further accelerate customer adoption, leading to higher quality care”, said Mr Laurent Rotival, Senior Vice-President of GE Healthcare. “By partnering with GE Healthcare, we will offer a new level of return on investment from healthcare IT”, Mr Prasad Dindigal, Vice-President and Global Head of Healthcare, Satyam Computers said. – Our Bureau More Stories on : Alliances & Joint Ventures | Software | Satyam Computer Services Ltd
