Oracle sees growth in Asia-Pacific

New Delhi, July 7 Enterprise software company Oracle on Monday said its revenue in Asia-Pacific and Japan increased by 26 per cent in the 2008-09 fiscal, to $3.2 billion as more customers chose Oracle solutions.

“Oracle expanded its partner network to over 3,100 across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region, signing up more than 430 new partners last fiscal to meet growing market demand for Oracle software and services,” a company release said here.

Giving the list of its customer wins in India for the full fiscal FY08, the company said in the communications domain it included Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, WNS Global Services, Genpact, Oxigen India Prepaid Services Pvt Ltd, Idea Cellular, Tata Indicom, Tata Teleservices, amongst others.

Similarly, in the manufacturing and retail space, it has secured wins from Krishnapatnam Port Company Ltd, Arvind Mills, Aditya Birla Retail Ltd, Shopper’s Stop, HomeCare Retail Marts Pvt Ltd amongst others.
