The Hindu Business Line : Toonz 's TV series on Lord Shiva

Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd is producing an animated television series on Lord Shiva. To be titled Tales of Lord Shiva, the series has been conceived and designed at Toonz and is being directed in-house. "The look and feel is very unique and it varies widely based on the stories portraying Shiva in one of his many forms," says Mr Hari Varma, the Creative Producer of the series. Tales of Lord Siva will be made in English and also in several Indian languages. Music has been composed by Hindustani singer-composer Mr Ramesh Narayan. Toonz, part of the Comcraft Group, most recently made the animated film Return of Hanuman and is working on several projects for international studios. It has recently closed a deal with Marvel Studios for doing 104 episodes on Marvel characters and has also signed a three-picture DVD deal with Paramount Pictures. - Our Bureau
